Dear membersof the AFNNA our esteemed guests, I am humbly expressing my sincere gratitudeto you all for joining this very special event, our 2nd scientific conferencefrom 16th to 18th May 2024. As we are all aware, this year’s conference themeis “Improving Kidney Care in Africa: The Evolving Role of the Nephrology Nurse”which is held here in Kigali, the Capital city of Rwanda.
Theconference aims to advance and share knowledge and facilitatecollaboration aiming to ultimately improve Kidney patient care outcome inAfrica and the world. This is a great opportunity to gather with manyNephrology nurses, renal nurses, nephrologists, renal nutritionists, renalsocial workers, academicians, renal technicians, practitioners, and otherstakeholders to discuss the multi-disciplinary course of action in renal careas per our sub-themes
The programhas already been designed to be excellent, and the networking opportunitieswill be indeed outstanding. The setting of the beautiful tourist city of Kigali “The Land ofa Thousand Hills” will add to the pleasure of the conferenceand provide long-term remembrances beyond the science.
Since this isour 2nd Scientific Conference, I hope the conference will be of professionaland personal benefit to all of us as we proceed with our work towards a futureand improved nephrology care services in our continent.
